MAJOR EQUIPMENT

Biorad MRC 1000/1024 UV Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope on Nikon Diaphot 300

Biorad DVC 250 Line Scanning Confocal Microscope

Becton Dickinson FACS Vantage Cell Sorter. Three laser lines (351nm, 488nm & 647nm), 5 fluorescence parameters, 2 populations simultaneously, up to 5,000 events per second.

Becton Dickinson FACS Canto II Flow Cytometer with High Throughput Sampler. - equipped with two lasers (488nm & 633nm), this instrument supports enhanced 6-colour fluorescence analysis plus forward- and side-scatter measurements at an acquisition rate of up to 10,000 events per second. The HTS will run 96 and 384 well plates with a sample analysis time of approximately 15 minutes per 96 well plate and a sample volume as low as 50ul.

Becton Dickinson FACS Calibur Flow Cytometer. - equipped with two lasers (488nm & 635nm), this instrument supports routine 4-colour analysis (FITC, PE, PerCP/PE-Cy5/PI & APC) plus forward- and side-scatter measurements.

Becton Dickinson FACScan Flow Cytometer. - equipped with a single laser (488nm), this instrument supports routine 3-colour analysis (FITC, PE, & PerCP/PE-Cy5/PI), plus forward- and side-scatter measurements.

PALM Laser Microdissector with Laser Tweezers

Perkin Elmer CS1000 Autoplex Analyzer (Luminex 200 Bead Array System) - able to simultaneously measure up to 100 analytes in a single sample with a volume as low as 25ul.
