Sources of Information for Fluorescence Spectral Data (These sites were mostly obtained from contributions to the confocal microscopy listserver.) 1. The following site is probably the most comprehensive
source of fluorescence spectra along with laser lines and different filter
combinations. Created by Carl Boswell & George McNamara, it can be
accessed at:. 2. Fluorescent proteins - contains information on excitation and emission wavelengths and relative brightness for most fluorescent proteins: http://cgr.harvard.edu/thornlab/gfps.htm 3. The original BioRad fluorochrome database can be found on the Zeiss site: http://www.zeiss.de/cellscience (follow the link to "fluorescent dyes"). 4. Curv-o-matic at OmegaFilters: 5. Fluorescence Spectrum Viewer at BD: http://www.bdbiosciences.com/spectra/ (intended for flow cytometry). 6. Carl Boswell's original spectra page: http://www.mcb.arizona.edu/IPC/spectra_page.htm 7. Invitrogen Molecular Probes: http://www.probes.com/servlets/spectra/ 8. Jonathan Lindsey (NCSU) has a program that can graph spectra and do various calculations: PhotoChemCAD 2 at: 9. George McNamara's spectral data site: http://home.earthlink.net/~fluorescentdyes/
